About Me

mel

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am addicted to blogging.

It all started with a little food blog, as an outlet for all my foodie thoughts and ideas.  My husband suggested I start it because (though he says it’s not true) he was sick of hearing me talk about it. It became a way to stay connected to my family out-of-state, as well.  I enjoyed sharing my thoughts and experiences with others, and came to realize how much I enjoy writing.

After that, I started writing for LA Mom’s Blog, started a family blog, and most recently, Community Mama blog.  I felt like there were some things I had to share that were neither food-related or something my family was interested in hearing about.  So was born this new blog.  As the name implies, this blog is all about being a mama who loves to be involved in her community.  Our little neighborhood, just east of Venice, CA, is really growing and offers many wonderful opportunities.  And our local elementary school, where my children attend, is also growing and improving, thanks to the help and dedication of our wonderful parents.  I want to share all the beautiful things that are happening around me, and help spread the word to those who are not yet aware.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know, with your comments, how I’m doing:)
